The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company has partnered with the Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots campaign.
Under the leadership of EMT Clara Marshal, the fire company is using one of its reserve vehicles for a Stuff the Ambulance campaign to assist in the Marines’ toy drive.
They were stationed outside the Rehoboth Walmart Nov. 24. Representatives will also be at Buffalo Wild Wings from 11 a..m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3, at 19930 Lighthouse Plaza, Rehoboth Beach.
The cornerstone event is the Rehoboth Beach Hometown Christmas Parade which starts at 6 p.m., Monday, Dec. 4. The stuffing ambulance will be at fire station 1 on Rehoboth Ave, from 4 to 9 p.m., for the parade. Toy collection will continue through Friday, Dec. 15, at Station 1 in Rehoboth Avenue and at Station 2 on Airport Road. Donors may drop off packaged toys at any of these events.
Marshall said “I would like to thank everyone who has contributed so far, and a special thank you to the Rehoboth Beach Firefighters, EMTs, fire police and Cape High JROTC, who have whole heartily supported the campaign. We look forward to the program’s continued success and I hope we run out of room inside that ambulance.”
