October 19, 2023

The Friends of the Rehoboth Beach Public Library hosted its annual donor appreciation party Oct. 12 with Sippin’ in the Stacks at the library on Rehoboth Avenue.

The event is a way for the library’s Friends group to show its appreciation for the community’s continued support. The Friends group also unveiled the newest names on the Lifelong Friends Plaque. The unveiling included the names for 2021 and 2022. Unveiled names were Alexandra Armstrong, Jerry McCoy, Connie Benko, Bonnie Walker, Patrick Gossett, Howard Menaker, Judy Jones, Howard Bradley Bevard, John Padden, Tim and Elise Burns, Collins Charitable Foundation, Frank E. Gainer, Ramon Santos, Lisa Hunt, Lisa and Scott Kammerer, Alexandra Kovach and Lamont duPont, Celia Martin and Kathy Price.

The group is a nonprofit that supports the library financially by purchasing books and fundraising.

“Our Sippin’ in the Stacks continues to be one of the Friends’ favorite events,” said Friends board President Marti Garrett. “Each year, the turnout exceeds the year previous. Our donors are very generous, and this is one way we thank them.”
