Robert D. Nevin, Goodyear retiree

May 28, 2021

Robert D. Nevin passed away peacefully Thursday night, May 27, 2021, just four days after his 79th birthday. He was born May 23, 1942, to Mary and Robert Nevin in Glen Burnie, Md., where he spent his childhood. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1960 and joined the Army National Guard soon after, where he served eight years as a medic. He was honorably discharged in 1968 as a decorated rifle expert.

He is survived by his lovely wife, Martha, as well as by his son, stepsons, and his many grandkids and great-grandkids throughout Maryland and Ohio.

Bob retired from Goodyear after 30 years of service and built their dream home in Lewes, where they spent many happy years together volunteering for the wildlife center, the community college, and historical society among many other organizations around town, before moving to Ohio to live out the end of his life with family. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially those Baltimore teams (Go Ravens), and he also enjoyed teaching his grandkids how to play any and all sports, and loved gardening. He will be deeply missed.

The family wishes to have a private celebration of life; cards and condolences may be mailed to the family at 2304 Perry Drive SW, Canton, OH 44706.
