Robert Grau, had caring nature

Robert Grau, 67, of Lewes, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at Delaware Hospice Center,in Milford. He was born Friday, May 20, 1949, in Chester, Pa., son of the late William and Amelia Grau.

During his high school years, Bob played with the undefeated state champion football team of Middletown High School. He also participated in the marching band, playing the saxophone. Bob was a small engine mechanic, and owned his own repair business, as well as selling go-karts and lawnmowers for 15 years in Bear. He loved boating, family parties, and fishing, especially with his brother, Fred, his nephew Duane, and his brother-in-law, Thom Baron.

His most cherished times, however, were those spent with his family. Bob lived a life full of happiness and love; one devoted to his wife Julia, his three sons, his grandchildren, and his loyal dogs. He will forever be remembered for his laughter, his caring nature, and his love for life.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 36 years, Julia Ann Grau of Lewes; his sons: William Baron and his wife Ausra of Paoli, Pa., Robert Morrison, of Lewes and Brian Morrison, of Lewes; his brothers: Frederick W. Grau and his wife Janice of Jenson Beach, Fla, and William M. Grau Jr., of Newark; his sister, Barbara J. Bowers of Newark; and his grandchildren: Jasmine, Wilhelm, and Edwin Baron, and Robert Morrison Jr. and Chelsea Morrison.

Bob is also survived by Julia's brothers and sisters, with whom he had very special relationships; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
