Robert J. Stevens, retired manager

Robert J. Stevens, 81, of Ocean View, formerly of Beltsville, Md., passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
He was born in Washington, D.C., Oct. 29, 1936, son of the late George and Doris Stevens. Bob was a 1956 graduate of DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md. He was a regional manager of Gallenkamp Shoes and Payless for 50 years before his retirement in 2002.
Bob loved his family and enjoyed family get-togethers. He was an avid Washington Redskins and Nationals fan, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen M. Stevens in 2009; and a brother, Francis Stevens. He is survived by his second wife, Brenda Rae Stevens; four children, Karen (Anthony) Ruiz, Daniel (Lisa) Stevens, Mark (Kathi) Stevens and Michael (Michelle) Stevens; three stepchildren, Ronald Davis Jr., Christopher Michael Davis and Lindsay Rae Davis; a brother, Claude (Ginger) Stevens; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 27, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be held privately at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Md.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bob's name to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
