More than 100 excited third-graders at Rehoboth Elementary School received gifts of dictionaries Dec. 16.
With the help of teacher Kristine Wood and other dedicated educators, the students learned about the importance of dictionaries and how to use them effectively. They had fun looking up words like "volunteer" and "phenomenon.”
Love Creek Elementary third-graders also received dictionaries during a November visit and presentation from Rotary representatives.
The Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary members are proud to support education and literacy in the community. They hope the dictionaries, which included both English and Spanish translations, will enhance the students' learning experience, and help inspire a lifelong love of reading and language.
