SCAOR award winner supports local Little League organization
Sussex County Association of Realtors 2025 Good Neighbor Award winner Bob McVey recently stepped up to the plate with a generous donation, presenting a $1,000 check to Delaware District III Little League to help offset costs for young players heading to championship games.
Each year, SCAOR’s Good Neighbor Award honors a Realtor who goes above and beyond in service to their community, with a $1,000 donation made to the recipient’s charity of choice.
A longtime advocate for youth baseball, McVey serves as the baseball umpire in chief for Sussex County’s District III Little League. A Cape Henlopen High School graduate and U.S. Coast Guard veteran, McVey has spent decades serving both his country and his community. Since retiring from the Coast Guard in 2001, he has built a distinguished career in real estate, serving as president and past president of both SCAOR and the Delaware Association of Realtors, and earning multiple Realtor of the Year honors.
With his passion for baseball and service, McVey’s impact continues both on and off the field.
