SDTR equine for veterans mini sessions start Sept. 20

September 11, 2024

Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding will host interactive mini sessions with horses for veterans. These free programs will provide participants with strategies to promote health and well being while connecting with other veterans. The first session will meet from from 10 a.m. to noon, Fridays, Sept. 20, and Sept. 27. Session two will meet from 10 a.m. to noon, Fridays, Oct. 4, and Oct. 11.

In an encouraging, positive environment, each participant will improve communication skill by partnering with a horse.

The mini sessions are being offered to provide veterans with an advance preview of an eight-week equine-assisted program that SDTR will launch in January 2025. There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is required. To sign up, contact Kelly Boyer, program director at 302-644-1920 or kelly@sdtrhr.com.
