Second Street Players proudly present "Shrek: The Musical!" Performance dates are Friday to Sunday, July 13 to 15, and July 20 to 22. Curtain is at 7 p.m. for the Friday and Saturday shows, and 2 p.m. for the Sunday shows. All performances will be held at The Riverfront Theater, 2 South Walnut St., Milford.
Principal players in this production will include Steven Dow as Shrek, Alonzo Dixon as Donkey and Candice Castro as Fiona. Meddling in the heroes' affairs will be the diminutive Lord Farquaad, played by Jose Bernard. Filling out the ensemble for this production as fairytale characters, loyal Dulocians, knights, dragons, rats and things are 16 talented individuals from all over Kent and Sussex counties.
They include Abbi Martinez, Rhys Humphries, Lillian Mandala, Ashlie Workman, Linda Hyler, Julianna Markel, Sydney Gross, Keysha Martinez, Amire Collins, Dustin McHale, Jace Thompson, Dylan Philips, Kenny Donnelly, Joshua Dinan, Timothy Free and Colby Crawford.
The production staff will consist of Musical Director Stacey Hartman, Choreographer Bliss Soucek, Producer Josh Gross, Stage Manager Gloria Bontrager-Thomas, costumer Lorraine Steinhoff, props Janice Hall and Carol Torrey, set construction Mike Amory, set painting Bill Walton, sound technicians Ashby Amory and Nick Hall, and lighting designer John Moller.
