Sheryl Ann Murray, retired lab technician

Mrs. Sheryl Ann Murray, 58, of Dagsboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017.

Mrs. Murray was born in Lewes, Oct. 9, 1958, to the late William H. and Hilda M. Truitt Lewis.

Sheryl worked as a lab tech at Merck Animal Health for 28 years. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Hayward E. Murray of Dagsboro; eight children; Allan Murray (Christy) of Livermore, Ky., Donnie Murray of Utica, Ky., Diane Reader of Russellville, Ky. Karen Miller (Chris) of Calhoun, Ky., Scott Murray (Rhonda) of Dagsboro, Kevin Murray (Lourie) of Dagsboro, Heather Mustian (Ryan) of Dagsboro, and Jessica Marvel (Doug) of Roxana, three brothers, Doug Lewis (Eleanor) of Dagsboro, Richard Lewis (Ruth) of Dagsboro, and Marshall Lewis (Cheryl) of Frankford; and a sister, Connie Hall (Vernon) of Millsboro. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren; Savannah, Lucas, Jacob, Jordan, Mathew, Sam, Hannah, Jackson, Ethan, Olivia, Thomas, Abbi, Caleb, Mallory, Katelyn, Brianna, Gavin, Ava and Allie; as well as one great-granddaughter, Emeila. Sheryl is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 28, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where a viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Dagsboro Redmen's Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 128, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
