The Harry K Foundation recently announced the winners of its second annual chocolate crawl held April 13 in downtown Rehoboth Beach.
A group of 30 local businesses participated this year in what turned out to be a tight competition. The contestants’ creativity was on full display with entries that ran the gamut from baked goods to candy to ice cream to cocktails.
The team at Sirocco won first place with a thick-cut, pecan-smoked bacon rose candied in brown sugar espresso rub and dipped in semisweet chocolate.
Downtown Blues took second place, and The Ice Cream Store entry came in at third.
Event proceeds benefit the Harry K Foundation mission to halt hunger and food insecurity for the children of Delaware.
