Soul and Motown classics shows set March 28

The Milton Theatre will present the Destination Soultown Experience with the Soul Cruisers at 3 and 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 28, at 110 Union St., Milton. 

Comprising 11 performers including a horn section, keyboardists, four vocalists and an incredible rock and soul rhythm section, the Destination Soultown Experience recreates note-for-note live choreographed duplications of classic tunes, from the early pioneers of Motown, Stax Records and the Sound of Philadelphia. This concert focuses on iconic music from the birth of Motown in 1960 to the release of Michael Jackson’s all-time selling “Thriller” album in 1983.

Sprinkled throughout the show audiences will hear the sounds of artists like Four Tops, Temptations, Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson, Sly and the Family Stone, The Spinners, Earth Wind & Fire, Sam & Dave, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, Barry White, The Commodores and The Stylistics.
