The National Kidney Foundation serving Maryland and Delaware held its 14th annual Southern Delaware Kidney Walk May 1 at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes. Nearly 300 people stepped off to raise awareness of kidney disease, organ donation and the importance of early screening and healthy lifestyle for those at risk.
Entertainment, snacks and refreshments, vendor booths and good fun were the order of the day.
Funds raised through the Kidney Walk support the National Kidney Foundation’s local patient services, education and research efforts.
