St. Jude the Apostle celebrates Catechetical Sunday Sept. 18

This year, St. Jude The Apostle Church will celebrate Catechetical Sunday on Sept. 18,  focusing on the theme Do This in Memory of Me. Those whom the community has designated to serve as catechists will be called forward at all the Masses to be commissioned for their ministry.

On Catechetical Sunday, not only is the work of catechists in parishes highlighted, but parents and guardians are encouraged to take seriously their role of making their Catholic households a place where faith is passed on to the next generation. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has designated the third Sunday in September as Catechetical Sunday.
