Sussex Central swimmer Isaiah Brittingham signs with Hood College

Sussex Central senior sprint swimmer Isaiah Brittingham signed a letter of intent April 21 to attend and swim for the Blazers of Division III Hood College in Frederick, Md.
Isaiah is the son of Cape grad Dr. Judy Brittingham, director of special education in the Indian River School District, and Vince Evans, dean of students and the head boys’ basketball coach at Seaford High School.
“Isaiah didn’t join the team until his junior year, and this year he qualified for states in the 50 meters,” said his high school coach Jeff Kilner.
He trains with the Makos under coach Strohm Edwards at the Sussex Academy pool. Isaiah plans to work as a lifeguard for Delaware Seashore State Park this summer.
