A 17-year-old faces felony gun charges after police say he brought a BB gun to Sussex Central High School Dec. 20.
Delaware State Police were called at 10:13 a.m. to the school after officials learned the teen showed the gun to his peer, and alarmed some by repeatedly racking the slide of the weapon, police said. The School Resource Officer and constables detained the teen, and the gun was found after searching him. He was taken to Troop 4 and charged with felony carrying a concealed deadly weapon, felony possession of a weapon in a safe school zone, and disorderly conduct
He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Stevenson House Detention Center in default of $2001 secured bond.
