Sussex Family YMCA holds Campaign Brunch

The Sussex Family YMCA held its inaugural Campaign Brunch on April 23 at Baywood Greens, Long Neck.
Keynote speaker for the event was Haley Scott-DeMaria, an author and mother who told the story of a bus crash with her Notre Dame swim team where she broke her back and how swimming helped her heal. Scott-DeMaria also spoke about the life lessons learned in the swimming community. The title of her book is “What Though the Odds,” a phrase from the Notre Dame Victory March.
The YMCA mission of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility supports those facing the challenges and difficulties of today's society. The campaign will raise funds for families and individuals who need the YMCA services.
