Take Two Drama Club comedy show slated May 12

May 10, 2023

The Take Two Drama Club will present “Comedy Club 2023” at 6 p.m., Friday, May 12, at the Premier Center for the Performing Arts at Sussex Central High School. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door starting at 4:30 p.m. No one will be turned away for inability to pay, and additional donations are gratefully accepted.

The show is directed by senior Dakhi Conquest, who is also a writer. Seniors Katey Megginson and Joshua Dement head up the writing team that has created comic sketches in the style of “Saturday Night Live,” “In Living Color” or “Kids in the Hall.” Additional performers and writers include freshmen Colin Crosswell, Michael McKain and Todd Phillips; sophomore Spencer Camlin; juniors Rilee Finocchiaro, Angelie Cruz-Maria and Bella Carrow; and seniors Morgan Burnett, Kalib Megee, Kylie Rouse, Jake Sherman, Megan Phelps and Oriana Peterson.

David Warick, Take Two Drama Club advisor and teacher, said, “These are some of the most talented students we have in the district. And under the guidance of their incredibly capable student director, they have created a classic night of comedy everyone should see!”

The Take Two Drama Club is an independent nonprofit club and drama boosters organization that supports production of plays and musicals for Sussex Central High School students and surrounding communities. All ticket proceeds support production of future shows and assist Sussex Central students studying and creating theatre. To make a donation to Take Two, contact Warick at david.warick@irsd.k12.de.us.

Concessions and drinks will be available for purchase at the show.
