The legendary John Denver evokes memories of an era in music which was both inspiring and influential. His music was a combination of romance – “Annie’s Song”; folk – “Leavin’ on a Jet Plane”; country – “Thank God I’m a Country Boy”; and environmentalist – “Calypso.” His music lives on as the Milton Theatre presents John Denver tribute artist Ted Vigil for shows at 3 and 8 p.m., Saturday, May 5.
Ted Vigil, a man who, according to longtime John Denver guitar accompanist Steve Weisberg, closely resembles Denver both physically and musically, is carrying on the tradition honoring this colossal music icon. Weisberg now accompanies Vigil and is happy to be bringing the great compositions and hits of John Denver to audiences via a quality interpreter of Denver’s music.
Vigil is not an impersonator, but rather sings a tribute to John Denver. His gift for the music, and polished and energetic performing style present a warm and delightful evening through some of the world’s most popular music.
Tickets are $20-$30. For more information, go to www.miltontheatre.com.
