Three people – two from Georgetown and one from Rehoboth Beach – were charged Dec. 12 following a drug bust in Georgetown.
Members of the Sussex County Drug Unit and the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on the 24000 block of Springfield Road in connection with an investigation into illegal narcotics distribution in a home with children present, police said.
Inside the home, police said they found about 91.82 grams of methamphetamines, 62 alprazolam pills, eight Vyvanse pills, five buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual film strips, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, a sawed-off 16-gauge shotgun and ammunition, and a .22-caliber revolver.
Outside the home, police said they took Kelly Mauger, 39, of Rehoboth Beach into custody, and after searching her, they found about 14.34 grams of methamphetamines. She was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, tier 2; possession of a controlled substance, tier 2; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Alexis Lockerman, 43, and Hunter Thompson, 39, both of Georgetown, inside the home, and charged them with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, tier 3; possession of a controlled substance, tier 3; three counts possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; possession of a destructive weapon – sawed-off shotgun; possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited who also possesses a controlled substance; second-degree conspiracy; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child while committing a drug offense with a child in the dwelling. Thompson was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2. Mauger was released on her own recognizance, and Lockerman and Thompson were committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on cash bond – Lockerman on $72,000 and Thompson on $167,100.
