Timothy C. Hill of Millsboro passed away peacefully at home Sunday, March 25, 2018, in the arms of his beloved wife. He fought a courageous battle against ALS.
Tim retired Dec. 31, 2017, after a 40-year career in the real estate industry. He was the vice president of Wilgus Associates in Bethany Beach.
Tim cherished his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He possessed a great sense of humor and a strong work ethic. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy.
Tim was a faithful and devoted Christian. He attended The First Baptist Church of Georgetown. He was a man of great strength, character and dignity. He was a humble man passionate about giving, serving and helping others. Tim loved God and ministering to His people.
In 1996 Tim founded Harvest Ministries in Delmar. This ministry is still operating, offering compassionate services, food, and clothing to those in need.
Tim participated in prison ministries mentoring and teaching Bible studies to inmates. He knew no strangers, and took every opportunity given to him to reach out and offer hope and help to anyone in need.
In September 2014 Tim founded the Ten Mile Miracle Foundation to raise funds to help people on Delmarva affected by ALS. While fighting his own battle with ALS, he worked tirelessly to provide assistance to others. He refused to allow ALS to steal any opportunity he had to offer hope and help.
Tim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cindy Weems Hill; two daughters: Elizabeth Williams and Mary Bambary; son-in-law, Mitchell Williams; and two grandsons: Greyson Alexander and Cohen Timothy. He is also survived by his brother, Jack Hill and sister-in-law Patrice McCabe Hill; his mother-in-law, Peggy Moore; his sisters-in-law: Carol Weems Bell and Jennifer Klein Weems; and his nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Tim's life will be held Saturday, June 16, at 1 p.m., at The First Baptist Church of Georgetown, 20304 North Dupont Blvd., Georgetown. A reception will follow at the church where the family will greet visitors. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Georgetown.
