Tired of seeing litter everywhere

January 7, 2025
Our roads are becoming filthier and filthier.  We desperately need regular cleanups of our main and secondary roads.

We have made continued pleas to our county council and county officials. Their unsatisfactory answer is that they can’t get correction officers to work the overtime needed. It’s been years since our roads were cleaned up.

The reliance on Adopt-A-Highway enrollees is a failure, as there’s just too much litter. This needs to be rectified ASAP, as we continually add homes and populace. It’s just common sense that more homes mean more litter.

Particularly unsightly are shopping carts full of garbage on the south side of Route 24 near Warrington Road, as well as the homeless encampments on Old Landing Road at the entrance to Walmart. Please organize and develop a plan to correct with regular removals.
