Tom Nixon to manage Grotto Pizza in Camden

Jeff Gosnear, vice president of Rehoboth Beach-based Grotto Pizza, recently announced the promotion of Tom Nixon to general manager of the restaurant group’s Camden location.

“Tom is experienced in multiple facets of the hospitality industry,” Gosnear said. “He is an excellent role model and inspiring leader.”

Nixon has been a server, bartender and manager working at Grotto Pizza locations in Lewes, Seaford, Middletown and Newark.

Needless to say, he’s sampled a lot of pizzas. “My favorite is a toss-up between the Veggie Bianco and the Buffalo Chicken,” he said.

But his favorite part about working for Grotto Pizza is the employees. “[They] dedicate their time and effort to creating a welcoming and delicious atmosphere for our guests, day in and day out,” said Nixon.

When not at work, the Delaware Disc Golf Club and Professional Disc Golf Association member can be found on a course with his dog Penny.
