The Village Improvement Association delivered homemade lunches to the Rehoboth Beach Patrol lifeguards monthly from May through September.
Co-chairwomen Carole Baker and Barbara Wilson and their committee relied on member donations, prepared the lunches, and delivered them to the lifeguard station.
Lifeguard Patrol Captain Jeff Giles said the lifeguards enjoyed the lunches and appreciated club members’ efforts.
The project is part of VIA President Kate McKenzie’s Community Impact Project, 115 Community Contributions in our 115th Year.
The VIA is a women’s civic and charitable organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through financial support and volunteer service.
