Trinity O’Neil Pilkington, exceptional doctor, surgeon
Trinity O’Neil Pilkington, 49, husband of Julie Pilkington, father of Audra, Lauren and Sydney, beloved son of Jerry and Yong Pilkington of Taylors, S.C., was born Nov. 7, 1974, at Fort Campbell, Ky.
He grew up in a military family that served in many locations across the world. After graduating high school in Washington state, Trinity attended college as a pre-med student at Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. During his first year of the pre-med program, Trinity accepted Jesus as his savior. Trinity was an excellent, sweet son, who loved multicultural foods and greatly loved his three daughters. He graduated from the University of South Carolina Medical School with honors. Upon completing his five-year residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Trinity was accepted into Harvard Medical School’s fellowship program with a focus on orthopedic trauma. Both he and his team developed surgical techniques used around the world today for joint replacement surgeries. He then proceeded to practice at Virginia Riverside Medical Center in Newport News, Va., and then culminated his career with Bayhealth Medical Group. Trinity loved his job and was overjoyed by the testimonies from his patients on how he had improved their health. We lost a great, great son who is now with the Lord Jesus Christ, “He can't come to us, but we can go to him.”
Trin was an avid golfer, and he participated in the Milford Pool League. He was a member of multiple gyms, where one could find him almost every day. He was a foodie who could out-eat almost anyone who sat down at his table. Trin loved to laugh and make others happy; his smile was infectious. His friends and family were his whole world. Trin was the life of the party and had a knack for entertaining others. He was an exceptional doctor and surgeon who took great pride in his work. He was an innovator in his field and helped thousands regain their lives and mobility with his skills. Trin was a one-of-a-kind person. His heart was pure gold, and he would do just about anything for those he loved. Above everything, his three daughters were his absolute pride and joy. Trin was the kindest and most generous man, who will be missed beyond belief.
