Troop 95 advancements and activities continue in summer

Troop 95’s 98th Eagle Scout Anthony David Mills was recognized for his achievement during his Eagle ceremony July 16.
Mills’ project was to renovate the kayak rack at Camp Barnes. Mills is headed to Temple University to study computer science.

Giovanni Tiano was senior patrol leader for one of the contingent troops, and Nick Westphal was senior patrol leader of the second contingent troop.

Scouts completed 70 merit badges and a handful of partial requirements for more. Three scouts participated in and successfully passed their Life Scout boards of review while at camp.
The troop placed well in most of the inter-troop competitions while at camp. During the BoomTown Auction, the scouts bid on golden shoelaces and received a pair for each scout in the troop. This year was water carnival, and scouts from the troop won several of the individual events. The troop also won the marching trophy earned on the first and last nights of camp. Four scouts and a leader were tapped out at the Order of the Arrow ceremony. The recipient of the prestigious silver buckle was Nicholas Ables, senior patrol leader.
Following summer camp, a group of scouts and leaders were planning to head north to the Lehigh River and enjoying a whitewater rafting trip,
