True Blue Jazz events open with youth celebration in Lewes

The True Blue Jazz Youth Celebration kicked off jazz week festivities Oct. 16, at Bethany Blues Lewes.
Jazz bands from Beacon, Mariner and Fred Thomas middle schools provided the evening’s entertainment, and Dover High School jazz band members came south to guest star at the event. The Cape Henlopen High School jazz band had the attendees tapping their toes as one of the headliner groups. Local music teacher Christy Taylor and her students also provided a highlight on the stage.
