Fulfilling a commitment to match all funds raised by Pot-Nets and Baywood walkers who participated in the MS Walk, Robert W. Tunnell Jr. and Robert W. Tunnell III donated more than $14,000 to the MS Society. They presented a check Oct. 12 to Lindsey Calomino, MS Society senior development manager, and Megan Smutz, MS society development coordinator.
This year's MS Walk, sponsored by Pot-Nets Communities, was held June 5, and saw team entries from Pot-Nets Homeowners' Association; Lakeside Community Homeowners' Association and Coveside Homeowners' Association, among others. This friendly community competition resulted in phenomenal combined donations of more than $14,022, leading to the generous matching contribution of $14,022 by the Tunnells.
Team Lakeside, winner of the Top Fundraiser Award, was led by team captain Anna Mae Rabatin, and raised $4,800. Second place, with a total of $4,117, went to the Pot-Nets team No MS'ing Around, led by team captain Melinda Diaz.
