Visionary peace youth art exhibition reception set Dec. 17
CAMP Rehoboth is again hosting the Pacem in Terris Traveling Visionary Peace Youth Art Exhibition in its gallery.
On display are 13 inspiring works created by young Delaware artists ages 5 to 18, who have responded to the question, "What does peace mean to me?" This exhibition prompts reflection on the concept of peace and offers an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable talent and imagination of these budding artists.
CAMP Rehoboth will host a special Peace in the Afternoon reception from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 17, at 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Light refreshments will be served. Attendees can immerse themselves in the art, and engage in meaningful conversations about what peace signifies to them.
Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to contribute their thoughts to a community peace display board or share their visions of a peaceful world through social media. This interactive aspect adds a communal dimension to the event, allowing attendees to contribute their thoughts on fostering harmony in the global community.
Pacem in Terris, a grassroots organization committed to cultivating transformative relationships that promote healing and peace, supports this initiative. Likewise, the team at CAMP Rehoboth, a community service organization dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all sexual orientations and gender identities in Rehoboth Beach and its surrounding communities, is thrilled to be part of this powerful exhibition.
For those unable to attend the reception, the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center welcomes visitors to experience this exhibition through Thursday, Dec. 22.
