Voting has begun for chamber’s annual scarecrow contest

Local businesses in Rehoboth and Dewey area participating in fun annual event

Voting has begun for the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce’s annual Scarecrow Show & Trail. Votes will be accepted through Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Only one vote per person may be submitted and must include a valid numbered entry or business name to count. Votes can be submitted through the chamber website or by paper ballots available at the chamber’s administration office, 306 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

A list of participating businesses including entry numbers and addresses are available on the chamber’s website, at the administration office and at the visitor’s center, 501 Rehoboth Ave.

As of press deadline Oct. 11, participating businesses include Dewey Business Partnership, The Surf Club Hotel, Above the Dunes, the chamber, Clear Space Theatre, Coast Hotel/Sirocco Food & Drink, Crosswinds Motel, The Cultured Pearl, Downtown Blues, Fins Fish House & Raw Bar, Gifts of Serenity, Kiwi’s Kove, Jack Lingo Realtor, Ocean Glass Inn, Pink Leopard, Point Coffee House & Bake Shoppe, Rehoboth Beach Main Street, Rehoboth Beach Public Library, Rigby’s Bar & Grill, Twist Kitchen & Juice Bar, Victoria’s Restaurant, the chamber visitor center, Hampton Inn, Outback Steakhouse, Country Inn and Suites, Rehoboth Beach Paw-radise, Shore Bank United, Tidemark Federal Credit Union, Tough Luck Tattoo, Vineyard Vines and Williams Insurance Agency.

Businesses interested in entering the contest can do so through Friday, Oct. 20, by contacting Event Coordinator Kate VanVorst at events@beach-fun.com or by registering online.
