Wendy Cherniski, enjoyed painting
Wendy Cherniski, 50, of Harbeson passed away surrounded by friends and family Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018. Wendy was born in Chester Heights, Pa., daughter of Rosemary Cybak of Harbeson and Robert Cherniski of Chester, Pa.
Wendy moved to Claymont when she was 4 years of age. She graduated from Claymont High School in 1987. Wendy had many accomplishments that included working for a local attorney’s office in Wilmington, working for Pepsi for several years and for the Wilmington News Journal.
Wendy enjoyed painting and creating pictures. Every summer she enjoyed going camping with her family in New Jersey and Delaware. She also had an extreme talent with inside gardening and created an extensive plant room containing many exotic plants which were nurtured from young.
Wendy is survived by her mother of 71 years, Rosemary Marsilii Cybak; her father Robert Cherniski and stepmother Susan Cherniski; brother, Paul Cherniski and his wife Nicole; her nephew Eric Cherniski; stepfather, Roman Cybak; and five stepsiblings. Wendy is also survived by a long-term companion, Dustin Sutton.
The family of Wendy Cherniski would like to thank Delaware Hospice for its excellent care, especially her nurse Betsy Poe, her CNA Patsy Cahall and a special thank you to her Private Duty 24-hour-a-day LPN and caregiver, Daniel Hawkes.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m., at St. George’s Chapel, 20274 Beaver Dam Road, Harbeson. Burial will follow in the church graveyard.
