Wesley Cox honored with Community Service Award
Wesley Cox, CCIM, senior advisor with Sperry Van Ness-Miller Commercial Real Estate in Salisbury, Md., was awarded the Community Service Award during the Coastal Association of Realtors Annual Awards ceremony. The award recognizes lengthy civic activity.
The Coastal Association of Realtors supports over 900 realtors who serve Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties, and CAR is the industry advocate for the real estate industry, the real estate professional and private property rights.
Cox regularly volunteers for numerous organizations, including the Christian Shelter, the Salvation Army, the Mission of Mercy, and the Chesapeake Housing Mission. He has also delivered Thanksgiving dinners to families in need, delivered dictionaries to all third-graders in Wicomico County, and has helped create an entrepreneurial training program for veterans.
For the last three years he volunteered at Salisbury Christian School as the varsity soccer assistant coach and helped the team bring home two division titles and a state championship.
When asked about the award Cox said, “I’m honored to represent the real estate industry as a community service advocate. The true reward, however, is not receiving a plaque, but seeing the positive effect we all can have and the faces of those that are impacted.”
