William H. Wootton, enjoyed singing

William Henry Wootton, 88, of Lewes, formerly of Catonsville, Md., passed away peacefully Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born April 23, 1923, son of the late William and Edna Anna (Schultz) Wootton.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Bill's passion was singing and during his later years he sang with Bill Earl and The Men's Chorus, with "The Granddads" and with the senior center.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 67 years, Shirley Wootton; his three children: Chester Wootton, Sharon Pierce and Marcie Lynn Wootton; 10 grandchildren;17 great-grandchildren and his two great-great-grandchildren.

No funeral services will be held at the request of Mr. Wootton.
