Wine, food and music festival returns May 3

March 8, 2025

The 9th Southern Delaware Wine, Food & Music Festival will take place from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 3, at Schellville near Rehoboth Beach.

This new date follows a postponement from October 2024. "I am excited and thankful to once again present this award-winning festival for our community," said Stacy LaMotta, president and festival founder. "I appreciate everyone who contributed to making the festival possible and who supported the decision to postpone last year's event. This year's festival at Schellville will continue our tradition of being a premier event in the state, highlighting what our cherished Delaware coastal area has to offer.”

The wine, food and music festival will feature more than 20 local restaurants offering amazing dishes and 100 different tastes of libations. A live chef throwdown and great music will entertain the guests, along with a bourbon tasting, silent auction and wine wall.

Since 2015, more than $250,000 has been donated from this event to support local charitable organizations.

This year’s beneficiaries will be Sussex County Habitat for Humanity and the Harry K Foundation. The Healthy Homes Initiative at Sussex Habitat has served over 2,500 local individuals through home construction and preservation, home repairs, financial literacy and energy-efficient upgrades. The Harry K Foundation delivers programs to eliminate hunger and food insecurity among children in Delaware. For more information, go to sodelfest.com.
