The Delaware State Police are investigating a homicide after a woman was found dead Feb. 17 in her Bridgeville home.
Bridgeville police went to a home 9:13 a.m. on Champions Drive, Heritage Shores, to check on the well-being of a woman, 57, after her family was concerned that they were unable to contact her, said Sr. Cpl. Leonard DeMalto of the Delaware State Police.
When officers entered the home, DeMalto said they found the woman dead in what appeared to be a homicide. Identification of the victim is pending notification of her family and relatives.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is investigating at the request of the Bridgeville Police Department, and detectives are attempting to locate the woman’s missing vehicle, a silver 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS with Delaware vanity registration “YCANTI.”
