WPS boys’ and girls’ tennis teams reign at top of spring sports programs

After defeating Cape’s girls’ and boys’ tennis teams April 27, both the Worcester Prep boys’ and girls’ varsity tennis teams remain undefeated in and out of conference play this season. The boys’ team maintains a record of 10-0, while the girls’ team holds a record of 12-0. 

WPS vs. Cape boys’ results:
Singles 1: Junior Dominic Anthony (Seaford) won 8-1
Singles 2: Junior Will Todd (Salisbury, Md.) won 8-0
Singles 3: Senior Brenner Maull (Salisbury) won 8-3
Singles 4: Junior Colin Miller (Berlin, Md.) won 8-0
Singles 5: Senior Brendan Miller (Berlin) won 8-1
Doubles 1: (Forfeit)
Doubles 2: Freshmen Ryan Brafman (Rehoboth Beach) and Ben Brandt (Berlin) won 8-2
Doubles Exhibition Match: Graham Hammond (Selbyville) and Ethan Scheiber (Berlin) beat Cape’s No. 1 & No. 2 singles players

Singles 1: Junior Annika Larsen (Ocean City, Md.) lost 2-8
Singles 2: Sophomore Abi Plylar (Salisbury) won 8-4
Singles 3: Senior Anchita Batra (Rehoboth Beach) won 8-1
Singles 4: Senior Hope Sens (Ocean City) won 8-6
Singles 5: Junior Maya Natesan (Salisbury) won 8-0
Doubles 1 Sophomores Saylor McGuiness (Rehboth Beach) and Mesa Cammack (Rehoboth Beach) won 8-4
Doubles 2: Sophomores Kennedy Humes (Rehoboth Beach) and Korina Gjikuria (Ocean City) won 8-3.
