The next free Thursday movie in Lewes Canalfront Park is set for July 14. The Cinema by the Canal series will begin at dusk with "In the Heart of the Sea."
The recent hit movie is a historical thriller about the sinking of the American whaling ship Essex in 1820, the event that inspired the novel "Moby-Dick." It was directed and produced by Oscar-winner Ron Howard and stars Chris Hemsworth.
The movie is free thanks to Citizens Bank and Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park. Attendees should bring a blanket or lawn chair and maybe even a picnic. The park is at 211 Front St. in historic Lewes. For more information, go to www.lewescanalfrontpark.org or call 302-645-2795.
