‘The Music Man’ adds July 18 show at Riverfront Theater
Second Street Players’ production of “The Music Man” will run Friday to Sunday, July 12 to 14, and Thursday to Sunday, July 18 to 21, at the Riverfront Theater, 2 S. Walnut St., Milford. A July 18 performance date was added due to audience demand.
Thursday and Friday shows begin at 7 p.m.; Saturday shows begin at 2 and 7 p.m.; and the Sunday show begins at 2 p.m. Seats are $27 with a $1 discount available to seniors, students and theater members.
The show follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize – despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, and the rest is musical theater history.
