I guess you have lived in one place too long when you start recognizing people's voices on the radio.
During a discussion one day last week on Delaware 105.9 about Subway's 11-inch, foot-long subs in New Jersey, I surely recognized one of the callers. It was none other than Sussex County Councilman Sam Wilson.
Sam commented that he had taken off his shoe and measured his “foot” and it wasn't a foot at all, but about 11 inches. He chuckled and hinted that perhaps he should consider a lawsuit of some sort – perhaps filing against the All Mighty?
He said 11 inches for a foot-long sub was good enough for him, and it should be good enough for the rest of us. I'm sure it was his right shoe that he removed to measure the foot.
