Sen. Bryan Townsend, D-Newark, addressed clean water issues at a March 8 Inland Bays Foundation meeting at Bethany Beach Town Hall.
About 50 people attended the meeting to learn more about the Clean Water Task Force chaired by Townsend.
Townsend discussed the need to increase funding for water-quality improvements in Delaware waterways, improve policy-driven and data-driven decision-making, establish public-private partnerships, outline geographic range of water-quality projects and determine best management practices in agriculture.
