Starboard Raw in Dewey Beach is set to open its doors at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, May 1.
Owner Steve Montgomery said the new raw bar will be open seven days a week. It’s a tiny little spot and I expect it to be very busy for both food and drink, he said.
“It’s been a fun project. Almost all of the work on the build-out has been done by our own restaurant staff,” said Montgomery, in an April 26 email. “Everyone jumped in and are truly excited to celebrate what we have created.”
Montgomery said the entire lunch and entree menu will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Food service will be available until 1 a.m., with a late night menu.
“Come on in and enjoy the fantastic ambiance,” said Montgomery.
The restaurant is located directly across the street from the Starboard in the old Scully’s Ocean Side Cafe, 2000 Coastal Hwy.
Montgomery took over the location earlier this year and began renovations immediately. The restaurant will seat about 4 dozen customers, feature traditional raw bar offerings and a full line of craft beers.
