Delaware will welcome Firefly fans back for the fifth four-day music festival starting Thursday, June 16.
Headliners Mumford & Sons, Kings of Leon, Florence & The Machine and Deadmau5 will join more than 100 acts at the Woodlands at Dover. The festival runs through Sunday, June 19.
Since it began in 2012, festival attendance has tripled from about 30,000 music lovers to a sold-out crowd of 90,000 attendees in 2015. A study conducted by the University of Delaware on the economic impact of the 2014 festival boasted that Firefly contributed more than $68 million to the regional economy, including providing the equivalent of 579 full-time jobs.
Firefly also continues to partner with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through its Music Gives to St. Jude Kids program. Donations from Firefly fans will fund Firefly producer Red Frog Events' $25 million commitment to the St. Jude Red Frog Events Proton Therapy Center, opening later this year in Memphis.
Single-day passes to the 2016 event are still available online for $129, or $249 for a VIP single-day pass. General admission passes for the full four-day music event start at $319.
