Brenda C. Gilbert, had snowman collection

Brenda C. Gilbert, 60, of Seaford, passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bluefield, W.Va, Friday, Nov. 18, 1955, daughter of the late Claude A White, Sr. and JoAnn (Branch) White.

Mrs. Gilbert worked as a bus driver for over 15 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, baking and decorating cakes and having cook outs and BBQs. She loved to spend her time with her family and friends, and was known for her snowman collection. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her son, Darrell B. Gilbert Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Darrell B. Gilbert Sr.; her daughters, Tamie Pedone and her husband of Federalsburg, Md., and Ruby Gilbert of Hurlock, Md.; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, C. Allen White Jr. of Middletown and Michael White of Milton; and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to her family to help assist with funeral costs.
