Penn & Paperie, Lewes Lettering Co. debut Christmas card collection
Penn & Paperie and Lewes Lettering Co. are excited to announce a collaboration on a line of 2016 holiday cards. The collection features personalized holiday photo cards complemented by cheerful envelopes and hand-lettered calligraphy.
"The idea behind this project was to offer locals and those who vacation at the Delaware beaches an opportunity to shop small for their holiday cards this season," said Penn & Paperie owner and designer Margo Koch. "There are not many options in lower Delaware for personalized stationery and we're excited to be able to offer this product and service to the community."
Cards can be viewed and purchased directly on Penn & Paperie's website, pennandpaperie.com/holiday. Customers simply choose their favorite holiday card, pick their preferred envelope color, and decide if they'd like their envelopes hand-addressed with calligraphy. Shipping is free for all orders within the U.S.
Penn & Paperie is a design studio specializing in custom wedding invitations and event stationery. Margo Koch, Owner and Designer, is a new resident of Lewes, and is excited to offer her design services and stationery to the Delaware Beaches area.
Lewes Lettering Co., founded by Katy C. Ackerman, is a Delaware-based calligraphy studio adding a personalized touch to weddings, home goods, and gifts.
As the excitement of wedding season came to a close, the idea of offering seasonal stationery came to life. Both Koch and Ackerman had worked on several wedding invitation projects together over the summer.
"Margo and I are so proud of what this line has become," said Ackerman. "What began as sketches on napkins at Nectar in Lewes has evolved into a collection of 15 unique holiday cards. The quality, originality and thoughtfulness behind this collaborative project makes me so delighted to share it with the community."
Some of their most popular cards include a beach-themed Christmas card, as well as a "Marry" Christmas card designed especially for a newlyweds' announcement or engaged couples' Save the Date card.
"This collaboration truly embodies what it means to shop small," said Koch. "All the design, production, and printing is done right here in Sussex County. We work with local vendors as much as possible to support local business. Katy and I teamed with Greenwood photographer Jenna Beard, of The Beards Photography, who styled all of our amazing holiday card product shots. The Beards are also offering special Christmas Tree Farm photo sessions this holiday season! See a sample on our Season's Greetings card."
