Check out the holly jolly happenings around the Cape Region to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year!

 
Through Jan. 1

Winter Wonderfest, including the Light Spectacular and Christmas Village, Cape Henlopen State Park and Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal, Lewes. Two-mile Light Spectacular at the state park and Christmas Village with ice skating rink, live music, indoor holiday workshops, strolling Santa and carnival rides including a giant ferris wheel. Nov. 25-26

Dewey Beach Holiday Sip and Shop, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Starboard, Dewey Beach. Wide array of holiday gifts and original art in a fun shopping environment under a large heated tent in The Starboard parking lot.

Holiday Open House, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor, 18864 Cool Spring Road, Milton. Special events to celebrate the season. Cider and refreshments. Call 684-1514 for information.

Saturday, Nov. 26

Rehoboth Beach Farmers’ Market holiday market, noon to 3 p.m., Grove Park. Join your favorite vendors for holiday decorations and goodies.

Dewey Beach Holiday Tree Lighting, 6 p.m., Fifer’s Orchards market.  Parking is free on any street in Dewey Beach.

Tree lighting in Milton Memorial Park, 5:30 p.m. Come enjoy the start of the season with holiday caroling and a tree lighting.

 

Thursday, Dec. 1

Georgetown Christmas Parade, 7 p.m. This year’s theme is Christmas Dreams. Go to www.georgetowncoc.com for more information.

Lewes Merchants’ Hospitality Night, 5 to 8 p.m. Merchants host an evening of shopping with complimentary refreshments. Santa will be in residence on Second Street. For more information call 645-8073.

Lewes Christmas Parade, 5 p.m., downtown Lewes. Parade lineup takes place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and the parade begins on Savannah Road at Sussex Drive and will end in front of King’s Ice Cream Shop on Second Street.

Millsboro Christmas Parade, 10 a.m., downtown Millsboro.

Monday, Dec. 5

Caroling on the Circle, 6:30 p.m., The Circle in Georgetown. Community singing event doubles as food drive for Sussex County, drawing hundreds of residents who turn out to sing Christmas carols and collect canned goods for area pantries, churches and food banks. In the event of rain or snow, it will be moved inside the fire hall on South Bedford Street. For more information, call 302-855-7700.

 

Tuesday, Dec. 6

Rehoboth Beach Hometown Christmas Parade, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sponsored by the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company. For more information and sponsor/registration forms, email christmasparade@rehobothbeachfire.com.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 7

Milton Christmas Parade, 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Milton Volunteer Fire Department, this fun event will feature marching bands, fire trucks, floats and more. Go to www.historicmilton.com for more information.

 

Saturday, Dec. 10

Milton Holiday House Tour, 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Milton Women’s Club, event will feature many of the historic homes in town decorated for the holidays. On day of event, tickets available at the Holly Festival in the Milton Fire Hall, the Mercantile at Milton and the Milton Historical Society and Museum.
