Debra Werner, loved riding her Harley
Debra Werner, 63, former resident of Long Neck, passed away peacefully at her home in Lithia, Fla., Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016. Debra was born Oct. 8, 1953, in Maine, to the late Joan and Edwin Nelson.
She attended school in Cambridge, Mass. She was employed with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for a period of years. She enjoyed spending her time reading books, traveling and being in the company of her family and friends. She loved to ride her Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was a big animal lover.
Debra was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Werner; mother Joan Steele Nelson, father Edwin Nelson; and brother Edwin Nelson Jr.
She is mourned by her two daughters, Lynn Werner of Delaware and Brenda Pitts of Florida; and her son Robert Werner of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jason, Aiden, Mia and Nathaniel; her sisters, Linda Nelson, Faustina Steeves and Candace Kuhnn; her brothers Francis Nelson and Steven Nelson; and a host of nieces and nephews; and close friends.
Service and burial will be held privately for family.
