Joyce M. Creamer, loved writing poetry

Joyce M. Creamer, 74, of Dagsboro, passed away at home in the loving care of her family and Delaware Hospice. She was born Dec. 22, 1942, in Wilmington to the late Joseph J. and Eunice Lane Malanafy.

On Nov. 22, 1975, she married Robert Creamer, and together they raised two children. She worked at the DuPont Graphics Center in Boothwyn Pa,, retiring after 23 years. She was gregarious, outgoing, somewhat outspoken, and very funny with a contagious laugh and always remaining very dedicated to her family. She loved the beach, photography, writing poetry, and playing the organ. She was also a ladies auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 28.

In addition to being survived by her beloved husband, Robert, she is survived by her son Glenn Creamer and his wife Jennifer of Newark. She was preceded by her daughter, Dawn Creamer, in 2001. She has five grandchildren: Amber, Michael, Keith, Katie and Michelle, and a great-grandchild, Bryson.

A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, at the Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro. Friends may call from 6 till 7 p.m. for viewing and visitation. Pastor Scott Berkley will officiate. Interment will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or to Life Outreach International, P.O. Box 982000, Fort Worth, TX 78182.
