August 24, 2017

The Elite Atlantic Division final of the Ocean City Lacrosse Classic was a rematch of last summer’s championship, as the Jack Lingo Elite squad faced the New York-based NYAC team. This year’s final ended with NYAC taking a 7-6 victory back to the Empire State.

The Jack Lingo Masters team also fell in the finals, losing 8-7 in overtime to Severn River Lacrosse after scoring three goals in the last two minutes to tie the game and force the sudden-death period of the Trident Division.

Jack Lingo Elite put away the Maryland Lacrosse Club 8-6 in the opening round Aug. 17, then defeated World of Beer 10-5 in the second game. They continued on their way to the final by downing Kooper's Elite 10-5 Aug. 18. The Lingo squad downed the Cybercore team 5-2 Aug. 19 to take the top seed in the championship game.

The Lingo Masters squad took the Aug. 17 game 9-6 over Severn River Lacrosse, then defeated Chill Lacrosse Club 13-4. Lingo followed with an 11-0 thrashing of Fierce Lacrosse Club Aug. 19. MD Wolfpack was the Lingo team’s next victory, as they took a 7-1 win. Lingo made it into Sunday’s championship game with a 7-3 victory over Mr. Boh Lacrosse Club.
