Veterans were honored Nov. 12 as the Laurel American Legion Post 19 hosted the Fifth Annual Eastern Shore Veterans Day Parade in downtown Laurel.

Parade winners include the following:

Commander's Cup: Carey's Towing
Bands: Division I, Washington High School; Division II, Laurel High School Band
ROTC: Sussex Technical High School JROTC
Adult non-commercial float: Delaware Hogs & Heroes
Youth group floats: 1. Forge Youth and Family Academy; 2. Massing of the Colors, Laurel National Junior Honor Society; 3. The Oaktone Jazz Band
Youth entry: Paige Shirey with friends Zach and Cameron
Best dance, cheer group: D'Ann Danse Studio
Best motorcycle group: Delaware Hogs & Heroes
Most patriotic beauty queen: Miss Delaware Scholarship Chelsea Bruce
Best motor vehicle: Eastern Shore Jeep Association
Best veterans entry: Harbor Defenses of Delaware
Best historical entry: First State Tractor Club.
