Lefty’s Alley holds Kingpin Karaoke competition

JoJo, the first place winner, channeled Marvin Gaye with his version of “Let’s Get It On.”
The judges for the event were (l-r) Karen Sposato, Sposato Wines, Karen Falk, Jack Lingo Realtor; Organizer Katy Deighan, iHeart Radio; Annette Stellhorn, Accent on Travel; and Katie Heyt, iHeart Radio.
Bringing some classic rock to the stage was Billy Lavin singing “Dream On” by Aerosmith.
Lefty’s Alley and Eats held a Kingpin Karaoke competition Feb. 22, the first round of a five-week competition. Held every Thursday night, the top three winners from each week will compete in the finals March 22 for the grand prize of a seven-night cruise for two to Bermuda, provided by Accent on Travel.
The competitors are judged on vocal ability, stage presence and audience participation. The number of weekly competitors is limited to 40 singers. Lefty’s Alley teamed up with Q105, Froggy 99.9, Kiss 95.9, SeaSchell Karaoke and Accent on Travel to present this competition.
